Family Itinerary near Pyeongtaek: Sinjeong Lake https://staging.southofseoul.net/family-itinerary-near-pyeongtaek-sinjeong-lake/ Tue, 13 Jul 2021 03:24:54 +0000 https://blog.southofseoul.net/?p=5324 Lanae Rivers-Woods, MAIT

Looking to get away from the maddening crowds to a place that feels like luxury? You need to grab your family and head to Seojeong Lake for the day. When we first went to Sinjeong Lake, the park was swathed rain and clouds. Not exactly the best day to be walking around a lake. We decided to do it anyway and had no regrets. In our lives, the world is beautiful in all kinds of weather. We don’t wait for the sun to give us permission to enjoy the world. Sinjeong Lake Park turned out to be a little bit epic. The park has lots of little hidden delights. You wander from one cool little installation to another. They even have a kid’s water park that opens during the swimming season (assuming there is no pandemic). We hope you pack up the kids and go explore the area in the rain and the sun. It’s a lovely place to enjoy nature and the luxury of fancy restaurants and cafes. Sinjeong Lake Restaurant Options Sinjeong lake has a wide variety of restaurant options. Here are three restaurants recommended by South of Seoul volunteer families visiting the area. Fit A Pan even has a kid’s menu. What to do with the family The walking park surrounding Sinjeong Lake is stunning with many different features to enjoy. The walking and biking paths stretch all the way around the lake if you are feeling adventurous. You can feel free to bring your bikes and other forms of wheels to this lake. Just stick to the bike paths. It’s the perfect spot to spend with family since it’s packed with parking, restaurants, and cafes. If you don’t want to bring your bikes, they also have old bikes for rent at the lake. They don’t rent them in cold or rainy weather. You can also take the family water skiing at Sinjeong Lake. Contact 1330 to get the specific information your family needs like prices for families or ages of kids. They are a free service offering bilingual support. Sinjeong Lake Cafe Options There are more cafes than we can count near Sinjang Lake in Asan. Here are three that have been tried and tested by South of Seoul volunteers. These are huge cafes with space for kids and things they will enjoy eating or drinking. Join the Pyeongtaek Travelers Group You are also welcome to join our Pyeongtaek Travelers.
